What’s new on Disney+ in February 2024

Disney+ was launched to great fanfare in 2019 as a potential Netflix killer. But as Disney’s streaming service approaches its fifth anniversary later this year, the Disney+ lineup is looking anything but killer. There are only updates on 11 out of February’s 29 days, and there just isn’t much new content to be found.

The highlight of the month, if you can call it that, is the streaming premiere of Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, a misfire of such cosmic proportions that it became the MCU’s biggest flop in the 16 years since it began. It should be interesting to see how The Marvels performs as a streaming title since even the MCU hardcore fans largely stayed away from it while it was in theaters in November.

Star Wars fans do have reasons to celebrate this month with the return of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the spinoff of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Bad Batch is bringing its story to an end after three seasons, and it may be a while before the next Star Wars animated series is launched. Meanwhile, Pixar fans should take note of Self, a new stop-motion animated short that will premiere on February 2. Self is a departure from Pixar’s usual computer animation style, and it looks like another bold swing from the studio.

Our roundup of everything new on Disney+ in February 2024 can be found below, with our favorites highlighted in bold.

What’s new on Hulu in February and what’s leaving soon
A warrior looks at the camera in Shogun.

The actors' strike ended in November, and Hulu is enjoying the benefits in February as ABC's scripted shows return with new episodes. Viewers can watch Abbott Elementary, The Rookie, The Connors, and The Good Doctor on ABC during the initial broadcast, or stream it at your own pace starting the next day on Hulu. However, the two biggest attractions from Hulu's February lineup both come from FX. On February 1, Hulu will stream FX's Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, and on February 27, FX's remake of Shogun will make its long-awaited premiere.

Strangely enough, several of Discovery's reality shows are also coming to Hulu this month, almost as if they're migrating from Max. Regardless, you may find the newly arrived shows from National Geographic to be more fulfilling, even though those series are typically held for Disney+.

Master Chief's reflection appears in his helmet in a scene from Halo season 2.

It doesn't get much bigger than holding the streaming rights for the Super Bowl, and that's one of the primary attractions on Paramount+ in February. However, regular subscribers may be more enticed by new seasons of Halo and The Family Stallone. And it's never too early for Oscar season, as 2007's Best Picture winner, No Country for Old Men, comes to Paramount+ alongside 2013's Best Picture, 12 Years a Slave. Subscribers who have Paramount+ with Showtime will also be able to watch The Last Voyage of the Demeter, one of 2023's best horror films.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter isn't the only movie, show, or documentary that has been reserved for Paramount+ with Showtime. To make things easier for you in our roundup of everything new on Paramount+ in February 2024, the shows and movies below marked with an asterisk (*) are only available on Paramount+ with Showtime. What’s new on Peacock in February 2024
Two men talk in Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer won't be hitting Peacock until February 16, over seven months after the film hit theaters, but that's more than enough time to capitalize on Oppenheimer's Oscar buzz, as it's a frontrunner in this year's Best Picture race. Peacock is also streaming several of Nolan's other films this month, including The Dark Knight trilogy, Dunkirk, and Inception.

Before Oppenheimer arrives, Peacock is debuting an original drama film, Bosco, which is based on a true story, on February 2. Sci-fi fans will also be able to enjoy the third season of Resident Alien, as well as returning dramas from NBC like The Irrational. Of course, Peacock also has an overwhelming lineup of sports programming and news shows, far more than any single person could watch in a month.
