There’s a rare Xbox Series X deal happening now

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X rarely goes on sale, so if you’ve been waiting for a discount before you purchase the console, here’s your chance. From its original price of $499, it’s down to $449 from Walmart for savings of $50. We expect the offer to catch the attention of a lot of gamers, so we don’t think the available stocks will last long. If you don’t want to miss this opportunity, you need to add it to your cart and push through with the checkout process as soon as you can.

Why you should buy the Microsoft Xbox Series X

The Microsoft Xbox Series X is a powerhouse with 12 teraflops of processing power and the capability of true 4K gaming. In our comparison of the Xbox Series X versus Xbox Series S, there are plenty of advantages in going for the Xbox Series X, including more RAM at 16GB instead of 10GB, double the built-in storage at 1TB, the presence of a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and the ability to run video games with higher fidelity. If you can afford the Xbox Series X — especially with this current discount — it’s the highly recommended choice over the Xbox Series S.

The exclusive titles of a console are among the primary reasons for choosing it, and there’s no shortage of interesting Xbox Series X exclusives. Halo Infinite, the latest entry in the futuristic first-person shooter franchise, tops the list, which includes space RPG Starfield, the technically impressive Microsoft Flight Simulator, and racing titles Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport. Of course, some of the best video games of 2023 that are available on multiple platforms are also on the Xbox Series X, such as Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3.

You won’t always get the chance at Xbox Series X deals on the console itself, so you wouldn’t want this opportunity at a discount to slip through your fingers. The Microsoft Xbox Series X is currently $50 off from Walmart, so you’ll only have to pay $449 instead of $499. Stocks are probably selling fast, and there won’t be much time before they’re gone, so if you’ve had an eye on the Microsoft Xbox Series X for a while, don’t hesitate in taking advantage of this rare bargain.

Hurry! The Nintendo Switch just got a rare price cut at Walmart
Game Builder Garage on nintendo switch

Games and accessories often appear with discounts in Nintendo Switch deals, but the console itself mostly only gets a price cut during special occasions. If you can't wait for the next big sale, the good news is that there's a rare offer from Walmart for the Nintendo Switch that drops its price from $300 to $260. We're not sure how much time is remaining for the $40 in savings, but given the device's popularity, we don't expect it to last very long. If you want to get the console for a cheaper price, you should push through with your purchase as soon as you can.

Why you should buy the Nintendo Switch
To be clear, the Nintendo Switch in this sale is the original version of the hybrid console, not the Nintendo Switch OLED. According to our Nintendo Switch versus Nintendo Switch OLED comparison, the upgrades that you'll miss include the 7.0-inch OLED screen, a wider kickstand, and double the internal storage at 64GB. However, the original Nintendo Switch is still a worthwhile purchase with its 6.2-inch LCD screen, and the narrower kickstand won't be a problem if you're planning to play mostly in handheld mode or docked mode. The internal storage also probably won't be an issue as you can expand it by up to 2TB through a microSD card.

Xbox Series S and Series X just had their prices slashed at this retailer
Xbox Series X and S system.

We've found an unlikely source of Xbox Series S deals and Xbox Series X deals, if you're planning to buy one of Microsoft's current-generation consoles. Dell has slashed the price of the Xbox Series S by $60, so it's down to $240 from $300, while the Xbox Series X is discounted by $50 for a lowered price of $450 from $500. We're not sure how much time is remaining on these savings, so if you want to get either console for cheaper than usual, it's highly recommended that you proceed with the purchase as soon as possible. If you keep delaying the transaction, there's a chance that you miss out.
Microsoft Xbox Series S -- $240, was $300

The Microsoft Xbox Series S is the cheaper version among the two consoles, primarily because it goes fully digital as there's no disc drive. You'll instead be downloading your games from the Xbox Store, or through your subscription to Xbox Game Pass. You'll still be able to play the best Xbox Series X games on the Xbox Series S, whether they're multi-platform hits or the best Xbox Series X exclusives. If you prefer going digital with your games anyway, and you like the titles that you can access through Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox Series S may be more than enough for you, and it's going to let you save some cash compared to buying the Xbox Series X.
